PeerPop Inc. Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 4, 2026

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected through PeerPop's services. It governs the handling of data collected from our website and mobile applications, ensuring transparency in how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect personal identifiers such as names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and account names. For event organizers, we also gather organizational details and, if necessary, Social Security or Employer Identification Numbers for verification and payment processing.

Transactions are securely processed via Stripe, a leading online payment service. We employ cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how you interact with our services. This includes gathering data like IP addresses, browser types, and details about your interaction with our platform.

The information we collect is integral to providing you with a seamless experience. We use your data for service provisioning, communication, improvement and personalization of our services.

Disclosure of Information

We collaborate with various third-party service providers for essential functions. This includes secure payment processing, marketing efforts, and other operational needs. We may need to disclose your information for legal reasons, such as compliance with laws, fraud prevention, or in the context of business transactions like mergers or acquisitions.

Because PeerPop is an event ticketing platform, when you purchase a ticket or register for an event, we may make information you provide in connection with that purchase — including a mobile telephone number — available to the applicable event organizer or host so they can administer the event, provide attendee support, and communicate with attendees about that specific event. Providing a telephone number for these operational purposes does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive recurring marketing text messages, and it does not transfer any text-messaging opt-in consent to the organizer for their own independent marketing.

Notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy, mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text-messaging consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. All data-sharing categories and disclosures described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

SMS and Text Messaging Privacy

For our messaging program, PeerPop collects the personal information you provide — specifically your name, email address, and mobile phone number. We use this information to communicate with you and to serve as proof of purchase for entry to the events you buy tickets for. Information you provide in connection with a ticket purchase is shared only with the event organizer for that event, so they can verify entry and administer the event. PeerPop never sells this information and does not share it with any other third parties or affiliates.

Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

When you separately opt in to receive text messages, PeerPop may send recurring ticket updates, event announcements, event reminders, schedule or venue updates, promotional offers, and other event-related messages to the mobile telephone number you provide.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to unsubscribe from future messages and HELP for assistance. Consent to receive marketing or promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing a ticket, creating an account, or using PeerPop's services.

PeerPop does not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text-messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

All data-sharing categories and disclosures contained elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

PeerPop may disclose mobile information to telecommunications carriers, messaging providers, hosting providers, fraud-prevention providers, and other service providers acting on PeerPop's behalf when reasonably necessary to operate and deliver the messaging program. These providers may use the information only to perform services for PeerPop and not for their own independent marketing or promotional purposes.

Where a mobile telephone number is provided as part of a ticket purchase, PeerPop may use or disclose that number as reasonably necessary to process the transaction, provide the ticket, administer the applicable event, provide customer support, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, or deliver communications specifically requested by the user. Providing a telephone number for these operational purposes does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive recurring marketing text messages.

SMS marketing consent provided to PeerPop is not automatically transferred to an event organizer, event host, affiliate, or other third party. A third party may send promotional text messages only when the user has separately and affirmatively consented to receive messages from that specifically identified sender, where required by applicable law.

Data Security and Integrity

Our commitment to data security involves employing robust encryption and security measures to safeguard your information. In the event of a data breach, we are prepared to take immediate action, including notifying affected users in compliance with legal requirements.

User Rights and Data Management

You can access, update, or request the deletion of your data. We provide tools and support for you to manage your information and respect your choices regarding data usage.

Children's Privacy

PeerPop is committed to protecting the privacy of young individuals. We do not knowingly collect or maintain data from children under the age of 16. We encourage parents and guardians to play an active role in their children's online activities.

Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies and similar technologies are utilized for various purposes, including site functionality and gathering analytics. Our Cookie Policy provides detailed information on how these technologies are used and how you can control your cookie preferences.

Policy Updates

As our services evolve, we may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes and encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Compliance with Data Protection Laws

PeerPop adheres to international data protection laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. We take our obligations seriously and strive to ensure the protection and proper handling of your personal data.
